After more than a year of classes via zoom,I am thrilled to return to the studio. The face to face Pilates session is a completely different experience for myself and the students. The student can really be in the moment and sense their bodies away from distractions and their computer screens. Almost like practising the very trendy Mindfulness. In the studio, I enjoy teaching duets or 1-2-1 sessions. This allows me to tailor the class to the client’s specific needs which makes it interesting for both ends. In the equipment pilates studio apart from the mat and some small equipment such as resistance bands, gym ball,weights, wobble cushions, we have the gorgeous Pilates machines, originally designed by Mr Pilates himself. The reformer is the most known but we also use the Wunda chair and the cadillac or tower. The machines not only help to tailor the class to the student’s abilities but also to get better results, either assisting the student by providing support or challenging them by adding resistance.
